A Montessori Pre-Toddler Program
Ages 12 months to 18 months old
A curriculum that nurtures your child’s developing awareness of the world around them
The Montessori pre-toddler program at Celina is designed to meet the needs of our smallest learners. We build capacity for independence within the child from the earliest stages. Our Montessori pre-toddler program at Celina encourages natural curiosity and learning through all five senses. As children develop their language and motor skills, they become independent learners with a sense of intrinsic motivation and social awareness.
Hands - on learning material with professional guidance
Our guides provide learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate for our youngest learners in the Montessori pre-toddler program at Celina. We use real-world materials, interact with nature, and nurture the child’s growing curiosity about the world around them. Your child will move towards independence in all areas of our classroom: Language Development, Hands-on Learning, and Sensory Exploration.
Pre-toddlers are at the prime stage of development for communication. Our guides support the intrinsic desire to communicate by singing songs, reading stories, and providing opportunities for language exploration.
Pre-toddlers interact with their world using their five senses, and our environment is prepared to promote exploration. Sensory play supports the development of communication, as well as gross and fine motor skills.

A prepared environment that promotes independence
We know that our youngest children need plenty of nurturing and love as they explore a new space outside of their home. The Montessori classroom is carefully prepared to support early physical development, safe exploration, and foundational learning. It is full of natural light and easy access to our outdoor area. As pre-toddlers grow and meet developmental milestones like walking and talking, our guides provide expert care in a warm and supportive environment.
Our Approach
Our Program is designed to support the natural development of the transition from infancy to toddlerhood
Infants thrive when their natural cycles of eating, sleeping, and toileting are followed. Our guides are attuned to the needs of each pre-toddler, and ensure that these needs are met, creating a safe and secure environment for your child.
Our goal is to promote independence, and follow the child’s natural desires to try new things by teaching them to complete tasks on their own. Our pre-toddlers feel safe to explore their environment knowing the guides are there for support.
Our classroom environment provides opportunities for social interaction and engagement. Pre-toddlers learn how to become a member of a community by learning to take part in group activities and engaging in play with others.
